This last episode was the first one in this season with a lot of focus on action as a member of the Hydra family, Vichyssoise Alek Hydra, attacked Sisbell, Iska, and his friends. That allowed Iska to display some of his abilities as a fighter as Vichyssoise displayed a new form that surprised everyone while Sisbell was terrified.
As the attempts at the Queen and Elletear's lives were being dealt with and Alice also had moments to shine in the episode, perhaps the most surprising moment was the final scene where Sisbell reveals to Iska that he had seen Vichyssoise's form in the past, much to the protagonist's surprise.

Recap of the previous episode
This third episode of the series' return focused mainly on how the authorities of Nebulis reacted to the attempts on the Queen and Elletear's life, which featured a conversation between Alice and her mother about how the attack was caused by an astral user. Therefore, that meant that someone within the royal family was the one responsible.
The main focus of the story was how Vichyssoise Alex Hydra, from one of the families of magic users, attacked Sisbell, with Iska taking care of her. Alice also had a moment to take care of a spy who tried to take her life, eventually having a funny moment to share with Iska.
There were also some scenes, such as the Queen's past with Salinger and the Masked Man's conversation with Growley. The biggest moment of the episode, though, probably was the revelation of Sisbell telling Iska that she already knew of Vichyssoise's form and was traumatized by that, crying in the process.
What to expect in Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World season 2 episode 4?
Now that the most recent episodes have worked as refreshers of previous storylines, there is a very good chance that are going to focus on Iska and his work being Sisbell's bodyguard.
It is also very likely that Alice's subplot focusing on the conflict inside the Nebulis' royal family is going to get a lot of attention.
