This was confirmed via Crunchyroll’s release of their full lineup and schedule for their Winter 2025 anime season offerings. Crunchyroll has also confirmed that the series will stream with English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and German dubs.

Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time episode 2 began with Maple wrapping up Takumi in spider silk to keep him home for the day. This was due to her feeling lonely and neglected with how busy he was with work lately. Thankfully, the villagers stumbled on this scene and gave Maple her own job to make spider silk they could turn into clothes and other goods. This allowed Takumi to meet with Bobon and Banga, who revealed they booked him passage to Bolton city.
One week later, a merchant named Papek gave Takumi a ride from Bord Village to Bolton, accompanied by the C-rank adventuring party Lion Fang, made up of Heath, Riell, and Bogar. They escorted Takumi to the Adventurer’s Guild, where he registered due to there being no alchemist’s guild. Likewise, he was required to undertake a mission from the guild each month in order to keep his membership active.
Papek then wanted to buy Takumi’s potions off of him, offering him an exceptional price. This allowed Takumi to begin renting a mansion, where he fitted his bathroom with a toilet that had a purification device via his light magic. Papek noticed this, and both shared his intent to mass produce them while hiding Takumi’s identity from the Holy Empire of Sidonia. The episode ended with Takumi meeting a beautiful, seemingly elven girl as he was shopping for a slave.
What to expect from Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time episode 3 (speculative)
Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time episode 3 will almost certainly open up with a continued focus on Takumi and the apparently elven girl he has just met. It’s also worth noting that this girl seems to be the one seen in promotional material for the series, suggesting that she’ll somehow end up allied with Takumi in the end.
Episode 3 should also give some focus to the Holy Empire of Sidonia, especially considering Papek brought them up by name in the last episode’s final act. However, given that Takumi was sent back in time to a year before the summoning ritual, it will likely be a very different Sidonia than the impression fans got in the first two episodes.
