My Hero Academia shows an incredible range of unique Quirks, some offer impressive powers to suit combat. However, not all abilities and powers are meant for battle. Many Quirks may be excellent at things in everyday life but do not hold up in the extreme demands of a fight.
These abilities may not be potent in offense, less versatile, or even a hazard to the wielder under specific circumstances. Too passive or not useful in combat, some Quirks find their way more suitable in a peaceful setting. Here are the 10 My Hero Academia Quirks that aren't ideal for combat.

Glycerin, Squirmy Fingers, and 8 other Quirks in My Hero Academia that aren't suitable for battle
1) Zoom (Mei Hatsume)
Mei Hatsume's Quirk, Zoom, can extend her vision to an extreme distance so that she can see things in great detail. While this is good for observing intricate mechanics or scanning faraway objects, it has no offensive or defensive capabilities.
During the fighting, it offers little real direct battle advantage as she does not affect her opponent or the environment. Zoom would be much more useful applied for engineering or surveillance purposes, but in a fight, it is not nearly potent enough to take advantage of a position over and against a foe.
2) Glamour (Camie Utsushimi)
Camie Utsushimi's Glamour Quirk is a realistic illusion of herself or others, manipulating what people see. It could be very helpful for misdirection or creating decoys but doesn't have any offensive abilities. In a battle, illusions can confuse opponents, but they are not meant to cause damage.
Since the Quirk does not give any physical strength or a way to deal damage, it is not effective against a powerful opponent who depends on sensory awareness or super-powered attacks that ignore visual deception. This makes Glamour, one of the Quirks in My Hero Academia, which is useless in battles.
3) Glycerin (Mitsuki Bakugo)
Mitsuki Bakugo's Quirk is known as Glycerin. The Quirk generates a viscous, syrup-like fluid that she can coat with the surfaces or even prepare traps. Using the concept might be helpful in some control or evasion methods, however, its application within a battle is quite limited.
The slippery nature of Glycerin makes it very difficult to move around with, hence making it not very feasible to use it offensively or defensively in fast-moving combat. Additionally, the substance is nontoxic and lacks the attacking component, which is ineffective for overpowering opponents. This makes the Quirk of Bakugo's mother useless in any battle of My Hero Academia.
4) Attraction of Small Objects (Inko Midoriya)
The Quirk that Inko Midoriya possesses allows her to attract small objects towards her. The utility of this Quirk for gathering things is very helpful but fails when doing offensive power or the needed versatility in the heat of combat.
In battle, it is non-viable since the Quirk can only be used on tiny, light objects, effectively meaning that it cannot possibly target stronger or faster opponents. Also, it does not hold much versatility for defense and an offensive strategy in the fight, making her one of the My Hero Academia characters, who holds a useless quirk for battles.
5) Squirmy Fingers (David Shield)
David Shield's Quirk is called Squirmy Fingers which allows him to stretch his fingers in an elastically wiggling motion. Though it might be useful at any stage for picking up small things or reaching some unreachable places, this Quirk hardly serves in combat.
The outstretched limbs are weak and without offensive power. Thus, such a pose is unsuitable for serious damage and precision attacks. In addition to this, the Quirk offers no defensive power, which is inappropriate in the given battlefield with huge stakes.
6) Big Horn (Daikaku Miyagi)
In My Hero Academia, Daikaku Miyagi's Quirk is Big Horn, where he grows large horns from his head. This feature might be quite intimidating in battle, but it is a nuisance to him since he is a news anchor.
The horns blind him and blur his line of vision so that he cannot present news clearly. He even had one of the horns cut off in an attempt to minimize interference. This also makes Big Horn unsuitable for fighting operations.
7) Bubble (Kaoruko Awata)
Kaoruko Awata's Quirk is called Bubble, where she can create bubbles from her body. Though the bubbles can be used as a distraction or as a tool to evade an attack, they are not the best for battle. The bubbles are small and do not hold much power, thus leaving little impact on enemies when in battle.
They do not have the needed strength or accuracy to damage opponents on the battlefield. Furthermore, the bubbles are fragile, and the chances of popping them during fierce battles are very high, making them unreliable. They are ineffective due to their slow pace and humble impact compared to the more vigorous or durable Quirks in My Hero Academia.
8) Whole-Body Lens (Taneo Tokuda)
Taneo Tokuda's Quirk, Whole-Body Lens, makes him capable of having lenses on all parts of his body and thereby having a greater area of vision. Although he is very watchful due to this power and scans everything around himself with a lot of ease, there are no offensive and defensive powers against the combat.
It cannot be practical for use in battles in My Hero Academia as it does not have an immediate attacking ability and entirely depends on the sense of vision. It could only be used in surveillance or research rather than in any type of fight.
9) Yell (Amplifier)
Amplifier Quirk, Yell gives her the ability to vocalize with a voice volume that could reach a substantial area, which makes it useful for communication or as crowd control.
Lacking offensive power as well as versatility in her battle since her loud yell can be confusing to people she is battling, in the sense that she couldn't attack or defend personally.
Such a capacity for screaming loudly could also prove a liability in circumstances requiring stealth or finesse. In battle, there is a demand for precision and force, making her Quirk useless in combat in My Hero Academia.
10) Love (Manami Aiba)
In My Hero Academia, Manami Aiba's Quirk, Love, makes people feel a deep affection for her. Such a Quirk is extremely helpful in building relationships or when people need to be calmed down, but in battle, it is of no use.
Emotional manipulation does not cause direct harm to the opponents and does not provide any physical advantage for a fight. It would rather confuse or hesitate about the fight because enemies get overpowered by feelings of affection, making it rather a liability than an advantage in battle.
Final thoughts
In My Hero Academia, most Quirks are built to succeed in battle, however, other Quirks were definitely not meant for war. Abilities like Mei Hatsume's Zoom, Camie Utsushimi's Glamour, and Manami Aiba's Love just cannot help in defense and attack during a battle fight.
Quirks such as Glycerin, Attraction of Small Objects, and Bubble are quite helpful in non-combat situations but lack the punch or variety that would be required for any intense battle.
