Recap of the previous episode

In the latest development, Akane Tendo's hair was cut by accident because of the fight going on between Ranma and Ryoga. Akane was left distraught as she dealt with a lot of frustration, but she tried to keep a brave face and pretended that didn't affect her. Meanwhile, Ranma was following her and trying to make up for what he considered to be his mistake.

A major moment of the episode 5 was when Akane decided to visit Dr. Tofu so he could check on her bruised ankle. That's when she remembered that she grew her hair long to look more feminine, hoping that he would like her because he had a crush on her older sister, Kasumi, who had long hair.

Akane cried, however, she overcame this situation as she shared a tender moment with Ranma when he told her that she looked quite cute with that hairstyle.

The second half of the episode was heavily focused on Ryoga Hibiki's ongoing revenge against Ranma and the former deciding to invade the Tendo dojo at night, so he could ambush the protagonist. This resulted in a battle where Ryoga revealed that he was cursed just like Ranma and his father. There was a plot twist that Ryoga turned into a pig and Akane adopted him, sharing some loving scenes which caused a lot of jealousy to the protagonist.
