Re:Monster episode 4 recap
Re:Monster episode 4 opens with Gobrou waking up and immediately sensing a group of elves approaching his cave. Shortly after, Gobrou is informed of the new visitors, and he then goes to meet them.
Although Gobrou shows no signs of hostility or disrespect at first, the elf representative starts insulting Gobrou and the other goblins while offering them a chance to work under him. The elf mentions how he will provide them with food rations for a month if the goblins help the elves in their possible war against humans.
While Gobrou acknowledges the elves' paranoia and the actual chance of war, he rejects their offer. Gobrou then states how the elves should have been more courteous and respectful towards him and the goblins if they wanted their help. Tensions escalate into a brief scuffle, prompting the elves to retreat after being threatened by Gobrou.
The next day, Gobrou wakes to discover that Gobukichi has evolved into a red ogre, a variant of a normal ogre. Gobukichi then challenges Gobrou to a duel, which Gobrou ultimately wins. This duel solidifies their rivalry and deepens their bond.
Later in the episode, Gobrou goes on a hunt along with the red-haired human girl and ends up discovering that she also somehow has the ability to gain skills from eating monsters. The episode ends with more of Gobrou's fellow goblins evolving into higher species while unlocking jobs like clerics and mages.
Re:Monster episode 5: What to expect?
Re:Monster episode 5 will mainly focus on the war between the elves and humans, which will end up enveloping the goblins as well. Episode 4 unveiled that the evolution rate among the goblins had increased manifold due to Gobrou. It is possible that the next episode might reveal Gobmi's evolution, which the fans have been waiting for.
