Re:ZERO season 3 episode 3 recap
Episode 3 of Re:ZERO season 3, titled Gorgeous Tiger, started with Subaru confronting Regulus Corneas, the Sin Archbishop of Greed, who had Emilia in his clutches. After a brief exchange of words, the Sin Archbishop of Wrath, Sirius Romanee-Conti, attacked Emilia, who was still in Regulus' arms.
However, Regulus could effortlessly deflect the attack, following which he engaged in a conversation with Sirius about revenge and anger. According to Sirius, killing Emilia was her "right," which was presumably given to her by her husband, Petelgeuse Romanee-Conti.
Soon afterward, the two Sin Archbishops resumed their fight, where none of Sirius' attacks seemed to be doing any damage to Regulus. Subaru and Beatrice tried to intervene but failed to do significant damage to either of their opponents.
Regulus wanted to make Emilia his bride. When Subaru asked him his reason to do so, Regulus replied that it was simply because she had a pretty face.
In the end, Regulus managed to get away with Emilia, but not before inflicting a severe wound on Subaru's leg. This affected the rest of the crowd, who were still under Sirius' spell.
The focus shifted towards Garfiel Tinsel and Mimi Pearlbaton, who were on their way back home. In this scene, Mimi asks Garfiel if he wants to see his mother again. However, Garfiel was hesitant to do so, since his mother had no memory of who he was. However, a brief interaction with his mother and her husband stirred up strong emotions within Garfiel, who ended up breaking down in Mimi's arms.
In the next scene, Subaru woke up in a room with Al and Felix Argyle, who explained that Beatrice was currently in a state of suspended animation due to overexerting her healing abilities. Towards the end of the episode, an announcement was made by the Sin Archbishop of Lust, Capella Emerada Lugunica, who declared their plan of invading Priestella and killing every single person within.
Elsewhere, as Garfiel was racing to Subaru, he stopped to see his mother, who frantically asked him to help her find her husband and children. With this, the episode came to an end.
