The third season of Re:ZERO will primarily adapt Arc 5, titled The Stars That Engrave History, from Tappei Nagatsuki's original light novel series. Following the liberation of the Sanctuary and the defeat of the menacing Great Rabbit in the previous season, Subaru and the Emilia Camp have enjoyed a relatively peaceful year. However, this tranquility is soon disrupted.

The story begins when Anastasia, one of the Royal Selection candidates, sends a letter inviting Emilia and her companions to the Watergate City of Pristella, a strategic hub and one of the Five Major Cities of Lugunica. Upon arriving, Subaru, Emilia, and their allies encounter some unexpected reunions. But danger lurks beneath the surface as the Witch Cult resurfaces, with its Sin Archbishops launching an assault on Pristella.

True to the nature of Re:ZERO, Subaru must once again confront overwhelming odds, this time by mobilizing forces from all corners of the kingdom. To safeguard Pristella, he must transcend previously irreconcilable factions and command Crusch, Felt, and Anastasia, the Royal Selection contestants, to oppose the Witch Cult.

Fast-paced skirmishes, evolving alliances, and the unveiling of hidden truths promise high drama and emotional intensity, as fans have come to expect. From the trailers and visuals, it is clear that Subaru's adventure will push both him and his friends to their limits.

Team behind Re:ZERO season 3
