Record of Ragnarok has garnered a small but dedicated fanbase since its release in 2021. This popularity is only set to increase with the release of Record of Ragnarok season 2 part 2. Fans of tournament arc and tournament battles genre as well as mythology enthusiasts have been drawn in by the unique premise of the anime, which features a one-for-all battle between gods and humans for deciding the final fate of the human race.

As such, when Netflix announced a Season 2 in 2023, fans were hyped. However, the high-stakes action making up Record of Ragnarok Season 2 has been divided into two parts as is common for many anime series currently.

Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 episodes: What to expect?

Record of Ragnarok's second season on Netflix would be broken into two parts, the streaming giant announced. There will be a total of 15 episodes in the season, and since part 1's first 10 episodes were aired in January, there are still five episodes left to be released.

Hercules and Jack the Ripper have already engaged in combat in season 2, as have Raiden and Shiva, but the conflict between the gods and humans is far from the finish line.

The second season's episodes 11 through 15 have not yet been allocated a particular release date by Netflix, although the streaming service has confirmed they will be available in 2023.

It is difficult to predict with certainty when the upcoming episodes of Record of Ragnarok will premiere because there has never been a break between episodes before. However, Record of Ragnarok returned to Japanese television screens on April 14, 2023, hence it appears likely that the show will be available on Netflix soon.

The inclusion of a number of new characters in Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 has also been announced on the official website.

As such, Zerofuku, Sōji Okita, Isami Kondō, Hlökk and Thrud have been announced in this season, implying that Buddha's match with the seven gods will take place in this season itself. However, one does not feel that all the matches will take place, leading to possible speculations about a following season.

Will there be a Record of Ragnarok season 3?

It remains unknown if there will conclusively be a follow-up to Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2.

However, it seems likely, considering there are 13 battles in total and there are enough manga chapters to be adapted if not to include the future of the tournament. Furthermore, Nikola Tesa, Hades, Beelzebub and the other characters have also not been confirmed for Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2.

This means that a season 3 is in the works. However, there is no announcement of the same yet, given that the second season is yet to conclude. In the end, it probably all depends on how popular season 2 is, whether there is enough demand for a sequel, and whether the series suffers from Netflix's erratic decisions when it comes to cancelations.
