The redrawn One Punch Man chapter 198 has finally been released and there seems to be a decent amount of changes. One thing that most fans loved was seeing Fubuki on the cover page once again. Murata seems to have a favorite, especially when it comes to choosing a character for the cover.
The redrawn One Punch Man chapter 198 focused on Sonic and Flashy Flash as most fans suspected. It didn’t deviate much from the earlier version of the series. Murata has added extra panels when showcasing the lives of shinobi who resided in the Ninja Village.
Let’s take a closer look at the events that transpired in the redrawn One Punch Man chapter 198 that Murata released a few hours ago.

Redrawn One Punch Man chapter 198: Sonic and Flash’s first interaction in the village
The chapter started by showcasing an interaction that first took place between Sonic and Flash, back when they resided in the Ninja Village. Flash appeared to be quite introverted and shy. He didn’t initiate a conversation with anyone in the village. This was also because it was a rule established by the leader, and failure to adhere to it resulted in one’s death.
Both of them were in Squad 5 and Flash was confused when Sonic offered to give him some tips. Flash believed that both were on the same level. However, Sonic had a couple of tips that helped Flash as well. The reverse grip of the blade allows the user to hide it under their sleeve. Flash found this interesting and was quick to pick up on the new skill he was working on.
A glimpse into the life of a shinobi in the Ninja Village
The redrawn One Punch Man chapter 198 showcased the lives that these shinobi led in their village. Each day in the village lasted for a total of 72 hours, out of which only 6 hours were allotted to sleeping.
Effectively, the shinobi had about 3 hours worth of sleep each day. Another sad aspect of being a shinobi in this village was that the food had no flavor. They did everything they could to make the food as bland as possible, and shinobi weren’t allowed to converse with other people.
Furthermore, their living quarters were as good as a jail cell. It was just a cell with a small cot adjacent to the wall. The commode was in the same cell, meaning defecation and sleeping happened in the same room. They spent their entire time training to become lethal machines. Any display of emotion was frowned upon, and those who didn’t display any were considered the best shinobi.
Sonic vs Flash battle continued
The redrawn One Punch Man chapter 198 featured a fight between the two characters, which commenced just before the flashback was shown. Both Sonic and Flash traded blows and it seemed like a stalemate. Sonic even resorted to using his Ninja tools like the Shuriken, but Flash’s incredible reflexes allowed him to evade them with ease.
Towards the end, both Sonic and Flash used their ultimate moves. Sonic used his Nine Shadow Funeral and paired it with his Wind Blade Kick. Flash was forced to use his Flash Fist. The latter was impressed because he never thought Sonic would drive him to use his ultimate attack.
However, this fight was cut short by the Heavenly Ninja Party. Sonic viewed them as mere grains of sand in comparison to Saitama, whose strength is absolute. Both Sonic and Flash acknowledged Saitama’s strength and decided to team up against the Heavenly Ninja Party.
