Blue Lock chapter 271 might have just dropped a major hint about Rin Itoshi and his ongoing awakening. The previous chapter witnessed something light up within the green-haired forward. His Berserker State, which was last during the U-20s match, began to rise to the surface.

Before this, Michael Kaiser had an explosive awakening that forced Rin to take action. Blue Lock chapter 271 could be the point where Rin re-enters that destructive state to overtake and undo the Blue Rose's work. This state of Rin's wasn't just destructive, but "destruction at the cost of life."

As witnessed in chapter 270, Rin's awakening began as he was backed against a wall following Kaiser's explosive showing. With no options left, the former took matters into his own hands by first stopping Bastard Munchen's attack dead in its tracks.

As Yoichi Isagi points out, not only Kaiser, but even Rin was feeding off of his Restriction. Stunning even the mentors, i.e., Noel Noa and Julian Loki, Rin began his counter. With a familiar hungry look on his face, he charged at Bastard Munchen, easily dribbling past his opponents with breathtaking footwork.

Blue Lock chapter 271 shows Rin's origins, possibly hinting that Rin might surpass Kaiser. Evident from the chapter, Rin loved the "Evolmen" show in his younger years and was taken up by its boss monster. He, too, longed to fight someone amazing and strong.
