Following the opening events, Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions season 2 episode 1 saw Toto heading towards a crime with Amamiya, who was visibly reluctant to enlist his help for this case.

After arriving at the scene, Toto and Amamiya were greeted by an officer, who informed them about the first witness of the crime, along with the revelation that the person who had requested Toto's presence at the scene. The person was none other than Ron, who was under the pretense of delivering sweets to Toto to infiltrate the crime scene.

Apparently, Ron had tracked the scene of the crime via the GPS on Toto's smartphone and the bug that Spitz had once placed on the latter. When the trio of Ron, Toto, and Amamiya arrived at the scene of the crime, all three of them were caught off-guard by the horrific and inhuman nature of the murder.

The victim, whose entire body was tied up by ropes, was impaled on the horn of an unicorn statue at the Shibuya Mall Park. What's more, they found a plaque attached to the victim's body, which featured a phrase from Revelation to John. It was enough to convince Ron that this murder was unlike anything he or Toto had ever witnessed in their detective careers.

Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions season 2 episode 1 saw the police officer at the scene explaining the circumstances surrounding the victim's murder to Toto and Amamiya. Although they were able to deduce that the culprit ran the rope over the arch and used it as a pulley to drop the victim onto the statue, they were unable to figure out how the culprit had escaped the scene, especially after hearing the security guard's words.

That said, Ron was able to figure out the trick behind the murder in an instant, as he realized that the culprit had set about the crime before the security guard had closed the building. He came to this conclusion after carefully observing the victim's hands, which made it seem like the victim was tightly holding on to something prior to his death.

As such, Ron presented the brutal reality of the crime to Toto, where he explained that the victim was tied up in such a way that he was suspended directly above the unicorn statue and was forced to hold on to the rope for dear life. However, the victim's hands must have given out after a long struggle, which resulted in him getting impaled by the unicorn statue's horn.

Following this, the police informed Toto that they had identified the victim. Apparently, he was a suspect in a cryptocurrency heist that took place a few days before and had a distinct branding on his neck.

This branding was similar to the one on Ron's neck, which helped him deduce that this crime must have been orchestrated by none other than the House of M, as a challenge particularly directed towards Ron. He was also able to figure out that the code/branding on the victim's neck was a hint to the notice of the next murder, and that the next possible victim might be a member of the hacker team that the victim of this crime belonged to.

Ron came to the conclusion that the next murder would take place at 10 o'clock, which gave them about 30 minutes to reach the next probable scene of the crime. While he didn't know the exact location of the next crime yet, he was able to figure out that it must be someplace nearby, i.e. someplace they could reach within 30 minutes.

However, Ron soon came to a sudden realization that the code on the victim's neck didn't symbolize a number or a particular time, but rather the location of the next murder, which was the intersection at the Scramble Crossing in Shibuya. After informing Toto, Ron rushed to the intersection, where he was certain the culprit would try to make their next move.

As Ron and Toto desperately looked around trying to figure out where the culprit would strike from, they were suddenly hit by a giant screen of smoke, which completely blocked off their eyesight. In the midst of the panic and confusion, Ron and Toto heard a woman's scream, as they came to the grim realization that the crime had already been committed right in front of their eyes.

The victim, who turned out to be another member of the hacker team of the cryptocurrency heist, was stabbed through the chest with an arrow, which had a similar inscription to the code on the first victim's neck. As Ron grew increasingly frustrated with his failure, he realized upon inspecting the arrow that the murders weren't over yet. With this, Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions season 2 episode 1 came to an end.
