Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions season 2 episode 1 recap
Episode 1 of Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions season 2, titled The Case of the Shibuya Apocalypse Serial Murders (Part 1), started with Ron Kamonohashi reflecting on his past when he lost his detective license after being framed in the "Bloody Lab Incident" by the infamous criminal family, House of M.
The opening events also saw Milo Moriarty, the current head of the House of M, being informed that Winter Moriarty had entered Japan and would soon carry out the mission given to them by Milo.
The focus of the episode then shifted to Ron, Totomaru "Toto" Isshiki, and Amamiya investigating a grisly crime scene at the Shibuya Mall Park, where a man was tied up by a rope and impaled by an unicorn statue. This crime caught even Ron off-guard, who told Toto that this case was unlike anything they had solved before.
Ron eventually managed to correctly deduce the trick of the crime, along with the fact that the House of M carried it out. He came to this conclusion after inspecting a mark on the victim's neck, declaring that this murder was meant to be a personal challenge for him.
Upon further careful inspection of the branding, Ron also figured out the time and location of the next crime, as he claimed that the murderer wouldn't just stop at one victim.
However, even after Ron and Toto narrowed down the possible victim of the next crime and arrived at the location on time, the murderer, who turned out to be Winter Moriarty, was able to throw the duo off-guard by setting off a smokescreen and taking out the victim with a clean shot to the chest by an arrow.
As Ron grew increasingly frustrated due to not being able to stop the murder despite solving it, he concluded that the murders weren't over yet, as there was one more victim who was being targeted by Winter.
