Wednesday, August 6, 2024, saw several anime projects be allegedly leaked online ahead of their premieres, including the Terminator Zero anime, Re:ZERO season 3 episode 1, and more. This comes after yesterday’s alleged leak of the first episode of the Dandadan anime and its opening and ending themes, with even more episodes allegedly leaking today.
While most of the leaks come from Netflix and their upcoming slate of anime projects, some specific cases like Re:ZERO season 3 episode 1 come from Crunchyroll. In any case, it’s clear that these leaks concerning the Terminator Zero anime, the Dandadan anime, and others seem to not be slowing down any time soon.
Terminator Zero anime, Re:ZERO season 3 episode 1 leaks, and more only the start per X users
News of the leaks for the Terminator Zero anime and Re:ZERO season 3 episode 1 first broke on the X social media platform on the morning of August 6. Additional series leaked that weren’t mentioned above include three of the first four episodes of the upcoming Ranma ½ remake, as well as the full Mononoke the Movie: Phantom in the Rain film project.
These leaks can be traced back to uploads on public forum board sites like 5chan, as well as piracy BitTorrent sites. While the leaks are of low quality with blurred watermarks and burned-in timestamps, they seem to be legitimate production leaks. However, unfortunately, this is impossible to confirm until each project begins officially releasing and these leaks can be compared to the official versions.
The Ranma ½ anime’s leaks are especially concerning, as the series was originally planned for an Anime NYC world premiere on Saturday, August 24. The anime was then set to begin airing in Japan in early October 2024 and would begin streaming on Netflix internationally afterward. For the Dandadan anime, the leak is still unfortunate but somewhat less so considering its upcoming release plans.
The anime will first premiere its initial three episodes screen as a theatrical project in Asia, beginning on August 31. This will be followed by a European premiere on September 7 and a North American debut on September 13. These screenings will expand to over 50 countries and regions in total throughout September, before the anime’s television premiere in October. Both Netflix and Crunchyroll will stream the series internationally.
Meanwhile, the entire Terminator Zero anime has sadly leaked just weeks before its August 29 worldwide premiere on Netflix. The Re:ZERO season 3 episode 1 leak comes a fairly significant amount of time before its planned October premiere with a one-hour special. Lastly, the Mononoke film project did open in Japanese theaters on July 26, but the leak is significant due to the film having no confirmed international license or screenings as of this writing.
