What to expect from Rurouni Kenshin season 2 (speculative)

Adapting the Kyoto Arc, season 2 will focus on the titular character Kenshin Himura as he makes his way to and fights through Kyoto. He will battle some of Makoto Shishio’s forces along the way to confront the man himself, defeating them, and highlighting a return to his Hitokiri Battousai personality in the process.

Focus should also be given to Kaoru Kamiya, Yahiko Myojin, and Sanosuke Sagara, the members of Team Kenshin whom he left behind to ensure their safety. The trio will likely decide to go after Kenshin and help him fight his battles, possibly even running into and fighting some of Shishio’s forces themselves as they try to catch up.
