While Dragon Ball's Son Goku is a household name when it comes to strong anime characters, One Punch Man's Saitama hasn't been far off in the debates with his outlandish displays of strength during the most unexpected moments.

With the release of One Punch Man chapter 209, the manga has again given life to such debates as Saitama displayed another new feat of strength proving why he is rightfully on par with Son Goku.

While the Goku-Saitama debates have been dragged out online for far too long, with the fanbases still going strong, there is no way one can ignore them.

How is One Punch Man's Saitama on par with Son Goku?

One Punch Man chapter 209 saw Saitama stop Empty Void's Dimension Slash with two fingers. As fans must remember, Blast, Flashy Flash, and Speed-o'-Sound Sonic have been struggling against Empty Void for the longest time, especially due to his overpowering Dimension Slash attack. However, unlike them, Saitama was unfazed by the attack and caught it without facing any trouble.

This was an amazing display of strength as the Dimension Slash itself was an attack that was launched from a higher dimension. On top of that, it was capable of splitting the ground into two. Nevertheless, Saitama managed to stop it as easily as catching a ball hurled at him.

With this latest feat, fans were left certain that Saitama was on par with Son Goku. This is because only a character like him would be capable of stopping a dimensional attack without breaking a sweat.

In fact, if fans remember, the Dragon Ball protagonist attained a similar-looking feat right before the start of the Android Saga when Trunks came to meet him from the future.

Trunks wanted to test Goku's strength and did so by swinging his sword at the Saiyan. However, Goku managed to stop Trunks' repeated attempts at marking him by using just his index finger. While the Trunks' attacks weren't on the same level as Empty Void's Dimension Slash, the humbling the two characters received was similar.

As far as attacks of similar strength are concerned, the Buu Saga and the Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn movie saw the Dragon Ball characters deal with similar attacks at the hands of Buu and Janemba. While Buu was capable of tearing a hole between dimensions with his scream, Janemba's Dimension Sword Attack, similar to Empty Void's Dimension Slash, was capable of cutting down anything in its path.

Considering that Son Goku has become much stronger since then, it only makes sense that he too is capable of stopping a Dimension Slash-like attack easily. Therefore, with his latest feat in One Punch Man chapter 209, Saitama proved that he was at least on par with Goku when it comes to stopping multi-dimensional attacks thrown at him.
