Sakamoto Days chapter 174 recap
In the previous chapter, readers saw Akao accepting illegal assassination assignments. Her boss did not know much about her, only that she had a troubled history and was expelled from JAA. However, he was satisfied as her skills were of use to them.
Akao had been wearing a raincoat and washed the blood off her face in a sink before going home, pretending to have been caught in the rain so Uzuki would not suspect what she was up to. They had been on the run for a year and were currently settled in an old, abandoned building.
Uzuki, noticing the blood stain on Akao's hand, confronted her as he was concerned that the killings would leave a trail that would lead the JAA to them. However, Akao reminded him of their need to earn money for their mission to bring down Al-Kamar and rescue the orphans. With twenty elite assassins guarding the facility, they were outgunned and outnumbered.
Uzuki expressed his fear of losing Akao and his discomfort with needless killing. Akao appreciated Uzuki's way of thinking but knew the world was unkind. Therefore, she wanted to take it upon herself to make the world a place where people could be kind.
Subsequently, she undertook another job where she had to ensure the safety of a major corporation CEO's daughter. She resolved that this would be her last assignment as an assassin.
In the meantime, Asaki learned of Akao and Uzuki's whereabouts. He was convinced that Akao had led Uzuki astray. He paid a visit to Uzuki and made a proposal: in return for eliminating a certain skilled assassin, the orphans at Al-Kamar would be freed.
This proposition left Uzuki conflicted as he had never knowingly killed anyone, but the prospect of living freely with Akao and those he considered family led him to accept the deal.
What to expect from Sakamoto Days chapter 175 (speculative)
In Sakamoto Days chapter 175, readers may expect to see Uzuki and Akao undertake their individual assignments, which will involve taking lives. However, Suzuki is known for his unexpected plot twists, and it is quite possible that he is setting up a scenario where the two assassins are faced with each other. This could be the very confrontation where Uzuki ends up taking Akao’s life.
