Sakamoto Days chapter 181 recap

In the previous chapter, Shin and Heisuke found themselves inside the JAA prison. Nagumo had warned them that while getting into the jail was easy, breaking out of it would be a different story altogether. Shin, however, had remained unfazed. He believed that the fortune teller was the only one who could help him hone his ESP abilities, and so he needed to meet with them.

Moreover, if they could not handle the assassins within the prison, they would stand no chance against Uzuki’s gang. Nagumo had informed them that the fortune teller was located at the bottom level of the underground prison.

In the prison cafeteria, Shin and Heisuke were strategizing on how to reach the bottom level. One potential plan involved obtaining the keys from a guard.

During their discussion, two prisoners approached them with the intent to bully the newcomers. They demanded that Shin vacate his seat, but Shin was not one to be easily intimidated. Using his ESP, he froze the prison guard and then proceeded to give the two prisoners a thorough beating.

Later, the two prisoners were plotting their revenge when they were unexpectedly knocked unconscious by Boiled. Boiled, who was Sakamoto’s old enemy, had heard about Sakamoto’s recent exploits, including the museum terrorist attack. He approached Shin and tossed him around, but Shin was prepared to show Boiled that he was not as hard-boiled as he considered himself to be.

The chapter then shifted focus to the fortune teller, who was causing trouble for the guards over food and entertainment. When a guard warned her that she would die if she did not eat, the fortune teller confidently replied that there was no need to worry because her prince in shining armor was on his way to rescue her. In the end, it was then revealed that the fortune teller was a young woman named Atari.

In Sakamoto Days chapter 182, readers can look forward to an exciting battle between Shin and Boiled. Shin and Heisuke still have a long way to go in their training. It might even take them a while to get through all the opponents they are definitely about to encounter, unless they come across a helping hand.

However, this might be counterproductive since the whole point of their time in prison is to train. Therefore, this prison training arc might take a while to play out but that is not necessarily a bad thing. There is also the possibility that the next chapter will reveal more about the fortune teller.
