Sakamoto Days chapter 183 recap

In the previous chapter, Shin was filled with anger and determined to make the chief guard, Joe Shackles, pay for his actions. Boiled revealed that Shackles had once been part of the elite JAA Special Detachment Unit, a counter-terrorism unit known for being among the best and closest to the Order. So, he advised Shin to let it go.

Boiled reasoned that if Shin could not defeat Shackles or even him, there was no point in trying to reach the bottom levels. Meanwhile, Atari asked one of the guards to show his palm to her. She then burned his palm with her cigarette, claiming that his palm lines were unlucky and needed correction.

Almost immediately, the guard received a call informing him that his grandmother's hernia had improved and that he had won a lottery. Atari then had another vision, revealing at least three people would die in the jail that very day.

The chapter then returned to Boiled, Heisuke, and Shin, who were being punished by being forced to transport heavy freight by hand in temperatures of minus thirty degrees. They had to work quickly to avoid freezing to death.

As onlookers speculated about the trio's chances of survival, Shackles appeared and stabbed one of the onlookers with a knife. He then screamed maniacally at them for not cheering for Shin and co. The inmates quickly complied, and Shackles was satisfied with their display of team spirit.

Suddenly, Heisuke collapsed from the cold. Shin pleaded with Shackles to let Heisuke out, explaining that he was hypothermic and that losing a finger to frostbite would be disastrous for the sniper. However, Shackles dismissed him as it would not be fair.

As Shin was wrapping his jacket around Heisuke, he received a punch from Shackles. Then, Shackles tied Shin to the wall with multiple handcuffs and ordered him to continue working, although he was not able to move.

Using his ESP abilities, Shin stopped several inmates, and as they began to fall, a domino effect was created which caused the shelves of crates to topple as well. Ultimately, Shackles was crushed under the falling freight. When Shackles demanded to know what Shin had done, Shin innocently replied that he could not have done anything from his position, suggesting that Shackles must have fallen due to his own clumsiness.

What to expect from Sakamoto Days chapter 184 (speculative)

In Sakamoto Days chapter 184, Shin might face some trouble from Shackles due to the trick he pulled on him. Meanwhile, Atari's predictions, which are always accurate, indicate that three people are fated to die. Although it seems like Shin and his group, especially considering Heisuke's present state, might be the ones, it is quite unlikely. Instead, Shackles himself might not make it, or in a typical Yuto Suzuki twist, it could be an entirely unexpected character.
