A recap of Sakamoto Days episode 1 in brief

Ad

The episode began with the introduction of Taro Sakaomoto in his prime. He was a legendary assassin who left that life behind after marrying the woman of his dreams. Taro gained quite a bit of weight and some of his older colleagues could barely recognize him. However, things got complicated when Shin Asakura was sent to kill Taro for quitting the organization. However, he was no match for Taro.

Shin was far slower and his combat prowess was nowhere on the same level as Taro’s. Furthermore, Shin looked up to Taro and didn’t want to kill him. He realized the former legendary assassin had left his work because he loved his family. Shin went back to his employer but they decided to kill him. Shin managed to kill plenty of assassins. However, a stray bullet went through his leg and the thugs surrounded him.

Sakamoto Taro incapacitated the rest of the thugs present there and offered Shin a job at his mom-and-pop store. He would get paid 800 Yen an hour and Taro would pay him extra for overtime.
