The Boruto series has been progressing steadily, now that Jura is the point of focus. He is extremely powerful and things are quite dicey for Shikamaru as a Hokage as well.

The protagonist of the series is still considered a traitor despite revealing that Naruto and Hinata are safe. His intention behind not revealing the location was to safeguard Kawaki. The reasons for that are still unknown.

However, the fanbase has shifted its focus back to the protagonist and his fate when the series concludes. Fans have reason to believe that Boruto’s fate could be tied to Sarada. Based on the fan theories floating around on the internet, Sarada Uchiha could be the Mikasa Ackermann in this series.

Boruto fan theories suggest Sarada potentially receiving the Mikasa Ackermann treatment

Those who are well-versed in the manga will know that Boruto has undergone complete conversion into an Otsutuski. This is why Kawaki wishes to eliminate him since his very existence is a threat to Naruto Uzumaki. Currently, the protagonist has shown the ability to maintain his composure.

So far, Momoshiki has yet to take over Boruto during the fight sequences. However, the resonant effect of Karma Mode from Kawaki forces the protagonist to flee. This indicates that Momoshiki could have taken over if the Karma Mode was activated.

It’s safe to assume that the protagonist himself understands what a threat he is at the time point. The manga is yet to reveal the plan that he has in place in order to mitigate the Momoshiki takeover issue. However, the fanbase has reason to believe that the protagonist might die in the end.

If this is the case, then there is a chance that he might ask Sarada Uchiha to deliver the final blow. Should his plan fail, the protagonist is mature enough to understand the risk his existence poses to others. Therefore, he might take the call of having his closest comrade take his life, if his plans fail.

Previously, Mikasa Ackermann in the Attack on Titan series was forced to take Eren’s life. While it was hard for her, she was the one who delivered the final blow. Despite killing him, she loved him dearly and even kissed his decapitated head. This is why fans believe that Sarada Uchiha might receive the Mikasa treatment in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.

Conclusion

Now that the protagonist has become a complete Otsutsuki, he might have to potentially die in order for Momoshiki to die as well. That being said, there is a strong chance that he has a plan in place for this. However, the last-ditch effort might result in Boruto asking Sarada to kill him, should Momoshiki take over.

If this is the case, the show could set Sarada up to deliver the killing blow. This would make her the Mikasa Ackermann equivalent in the Two Blue Vortex series. While the fan theory is great, it is highly unlikely that Masashi Kishimoto will kill the main protagonist towards the end of the series.
