Sarada's role in Boruto Two Blue Vortex has again been criticized by the fandom after the protagonist arrived to save her from Hidari. Where it's not the first time she has been criticized for being a helpless character, fans are getting tired of her and considering declaring her a loreless character who only needs help. However, in reality, things could be different.
From the start of the series, outside of battle, Sarada has been having a battle with her emotions due to her loved ones always getting in trouble. It all started after the Omnipotence Incident and led to Sasuke becoming a tree. Amidst that, the kunoichi has her emotions in turmoil, so the fact that she's still able to stand on the battlefield is praise-worthy.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex: Exploring the battle Sarada is having outside of battle
Boruto Two Blue Vortex started with Code entering the Hidden Leaf Village looking for the protagonist who disappeared after the Omnipotence incident caused by Eida. The antagonist crossed paths with the Uchiha child and thought of a way to lure the protagonist out, by trying to her the Uchiha child.
He then tried to capture the Uchiha child, but the protagonist appeared and had a hardcore battle with the antagonist. The Uchiha child was saved by the protagonist in the opening chapter of the sequel manga, which put a question mark on her abilities as the wielder of one of the strongest doujutsu of the Hidden Leaf Village, the Sharingan.
The protagonist left the village momentarily until he had to return after Hidari and Jura had infiltrated the village. Again, the Uchiha child was cornered. Hidari showed his desire to consume the Uchiha child, as that would help him understand what he was. In a heated battle, Hidari defeated everyone, and the Sarada was left alone.
The God Tree crept on her and was about to kill her until the protagonist jumped in and saved her again. In chapter 12, the God Tree was impaled by the protagonist, and Kawaki hit the final blow, killing Hidari after which he was converted into a Soul Thorn. Yet again, Sarada's involvement in this battle was just to be protected by others.
After the Omnipotence incident, Sarada became mentally affected by the branding of her best friend as a traitor.
That was evident from her awakening the Mangekyoou Sharingan in stress for the protagonist. After the protagonist returned from a timeskip of almost four years, Sarada's stress was reduced, but she was hit with another grave news that her father was now a chakra tree.
During the battle with Code, her emotions were in turmoil over the sudden arrival of the person she fought for against the village and its Hokage. During the battle with HIdari, her emotions were in turmoil over realizing that an evil creature was linked to his father and if that creature did something, it could affect the reputation of the Uchiha family.
This emotional distress, or simply put as a lone battle, is something the Uchiha child has been fighting since the start of the sequel series. Where no one from the series has criticized her for powerlessness against enemies, fans are quick to jump to conclusions and claim that her lore as a character was over after the Naruto Next Generations series.
