Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan abilities in Boruto may be based on a Japanese goddess, just like Sasuke's

As fans might remember, Boruto: Naruto: Next Generations ended with Sarada Uchiha attaining her Mangekyo Sharingan. However, even a year after the launch of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga, fans have yet to see the Uchiha use her newfound abilities.

Therefore, fans have been theorizing about what her abilities might be based on the information the manga has provided them till now. That's when one fan online came up with a theory, suggesting that Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan abilities might be based on the Japanese Sun God Amaterasu.

Boruto theory suggests that Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan might possess Solar Energy Absorption

According to a theory by Boruto fan on X @BorutoAnimeClub, Sarada Uchiha's Mangekyo Sharingan ability could be based on the Japanese Goddess Amaterasu, like her father Sasuke Uchiha.

This is evident from the fact that Itachi Uchiha had Amaterasu (Solar Power) and Tsukuyomi, and Sasuke Uchiha had Flame Control at the start but also received Amaterasu after implanting Itachi Mangekyo Sharingan's eyes into himself. Evidently, both brothers had Solar Powers to begin with.

Similarly, with Sarada Uchiha's Mangeko Sharingan eyes pattern resembling the sun, there is a good chance that she too will possess a power that is either connected to the Sun Goddess Amaterasu or the Flame God Kagutsuchi.

Amaterasu Ōmikami, also known as Amaterasu, is the Sun Goddess venerated by the Shintoists and queen of the High Plane of Heaven, having replaced her father Izanagi. Hence, given her ancestry, she was considered the most sacred Goddess worshipped in Japan.

With Sarada having the possibility of inheriting powers connected to her, she could possess some form of Solar Manipulation, Empowerment, or Absorption Technique.

A Solar Manipulation technique could see Sarada Uchiha create, shape, and manipulate all aspects of the Sun using her Mangekyo Sharingan eyes. This may include immense heat, luminosity, gravitational and magnetic fields, nuclear energy, and reactions.

A Solar Empowerment technique could see her become stronger, faster, and more durable when in contact with sunlight. Such a situation could possibly unlock her powers, allowing her to draw powers from the sun. This could include the ability to store chakra.

Lastly, a Solar Absorption technique could see Sarada Uchiah absorb solar energy using her Mangekyo Sharingan. This means that she could remove the energy or chakra from the source and absorb it into her body to use in various ways. This ability could be similar to the Leech Life move seen in Pokemon. Such a move should give Sarada an advantage, either temporarily or permanently.

The other reason why Sarada Uchiha could have abilities connected to the sun is that manga creator Masashi Kishimoto must have planned for all Team 7 members to represent some form of celestial body.

This is evident from how Mitsuki's name is directly translated to "Moon" and Boruto's Rasengan Uzuhiko makes use of the Planet's Chakra. Similarly, Sarada Uchiha could possibly draw out chakra from the Sun.
