Sarada's path to becoming the ultimate Uchiha in Boruto lies not with Sasuke, but Sakura

The narrative of Boruto and the overall rise in power levels within the story have far surpassed anything seen in the original Naruto series. Although the shinobi currently present in the series are stronger than their counterparts from Naruto, the protagonist himself is the only character currently capable of facing the Shinju on his own.

Sarada is currently one of the strongest shinobi in the story, with the exception of Kawaki and the current Nine Tails Jinchuriki, Himawari. Given Sarada's integral role as the only functioning Uchiha and one of Boruto's emotional anchors, many fans have speculated how she might just continue using the regular Mangekyou Sharingan by simultaneously using Sakura's 100 healings to negate the self-inflicted damage from the eyes.

Sarada might become the strongest Uchiha to support Boruto

Sarada unlocked her Mangekyou Sharingan in Part 1 of the Boruto series upon witnessing Eida's omnipotence in action, which altered the memories of everyone around them. The exact capabilities of her Mangekyou Sharingan remain a mystery, with only the pattern of her eyes indicating that she has unlocked it.

Sarada, the only other Uchiha currently present in the story, has been incapacitated in the Blue Vortex series, while Boruto has undergone astronomical growth in terms of power level and fighting prowess. Given the pressing need for the cast to improve their capabilities, it is possible that Sarada could unlock her Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.

Sharingans evolve from the regular Sharingan to the Mangekyou Sharingan, followed by the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. The Rinnegan is a very conditional evolution, requiring the presence of both Ashura and Indra's chakra within the user's body.

The Mangekyou Sharingan is the first evolution that provides a considerable power boost and, in many cases, grants users a unique ability, making them as formidable as actual Kages. However, repeated use of the Mangekyou Sharingan diminishes the user's eyesight until complete blindness. The Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, acquired by transplanting the Mangekyou of a close relative into the user, bypasses the blindness caused by the techniques involved.

It is possible that Sarada could acquire Sasuke's Mangekyou Sharingan and unlock the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan to reach her full potential in the story. Alternatively, Sakura's 100 Healing technique could become a key part of Sarada's growth, enabling her to heal the blindness caused by the regular Mangekyou Sharingan.

While the availability of Sharingans is limited in the current narrative, Amado has already demonstrated his cloning capabilities. It is still possible that Amado could clone other Uchihas to provide Sarada with the much-needed Mangekyou Sharingan for her power-up.

Final Thoughts

Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 15 will be released on October 20, 2024, and will reveal the next course of action for the Shinju. It is possible that major power-ups or plot twists will occur in the next chapter, especially since the astronomical power disparity between the Shinobi and the Shinju has already been established.
