The Dandadan manga recently gave Seiko Ayase as a strange group of mercenaries attacked her and her friends. While it is easy to assume that Count Saint-Germain is currently hunting her down, there is also the fact that she could be dealing with the betrayal of one of her students.

The character in question is Manjiro, who first appeared in chapter 35 of the Dandadan manga and was involved in dealing with the Evil Eye in Jiji's body. However, the character has yet to appear in the story since he took away Jiji's cursed underwear and has been protecting it, although recent chapters in the manga could suggest otherwise.

Seiko spent the most recent episodes of the manga talking with two people she is familiar with, Payase and Kashimoto, only for them to be attacked by a Minotaur and a group of followers. However, as they engage with the man who turned into the Minotaur, this individual reveals that someone asked them to engage in combat, with fans assuming that it is Count Saint-Germain.

Moreover, many readers noticed that the Minotaur's underwear looked just like the cursed one that Jiji used to have and that Manjiro, Seiko's student, took away to protect it at the end of the Evil Eye storyline. This would suggest that this young man betrayed her teacher and gave away information regarding her location and what she could do.

Moreover, some fans pointed out that Seiko had no problem taking down the Minotaur instead of asking questions, suggesting that she already figured out that Manjiro had betrayed her. This is mere speculation at the moment, but it seems far too convenient for two supernatural characters to wear the same underwear.

More details about this theory

It has been common knowledge by now in the Dandadan community that Count Saint-Germain has been keeping an eye on Okarun, Momo Ayase, and the rest of the main cast during the most recent portions of the story, and that could also be the case with Seiko. However, it is difficult to predict what the character's angle could be beyond the lady's knowledge of supernatural tools.

There is also the possibility that Manjiro got the underwear stolen from him, which could be the next portion of the story as Seiko tries to investigate the situation. Author Yukinobu Tatsu could be setting up this recent encounter with the Minotaur to connect it with the current events that Momo and her friends are experiencing. These events also directly involve Count Saint-Germain.

Final thoughts

The Dandadan manga has made it very clear that someone has put a target on Seiko Ayase's back, which could be a direct result of a betrayal from Manjiro because of his connections with her. It is difficult to see at the moment. However, that could be an interesting decision to make while also explaining the Minotaur's white underwear and how similar it looks to Jiji's.
