Meanwhile, Makoto wished he could be “better at life” while dreaming of Saki and Ryuji abandoning him. This seemingly led to him realizing he has feelings for Saki after all. The trio then returned to school, where Makoto made it clear to Saki that he and Ryuji weren’t speaking right now, prompting her to approach Ryuji and ask for details.

In reality, Ryuji was trying to reassure himself that creating space was the right move, while Makoto couldn't reach out to him. Saki tried to fix this by inviting both of them to hang out with her without telling them this, going on her way after seeing them off. The two then spent the day discussing their friendship and history, eventually deciding to try and make up. While they didn’t start dating again, they did agree to become friends with each other once more.

Meanwhile, Saki coincidentally ran into her mom while sitting at a shrine. It was teased that there was more to Makoto’s mother’s dislike of his habits than it seemed.
