Senpai Is an Otokonoko episode 2 began with a flashback to Makoto being told something he wanted as a kid was for girls. Makoto, Ryuji, and Aoi then exchanged contact information so they could hang out over the summer break. Makoto then left to go to the staff room, leaving Ryuji and Aoi alone, as the former said it’d be weird to be in love with another guy. Aoi tried making plans with Makoto but was rejected, leading Ryuji to ask her to return something of Makoto’s he used.

At home, he and his mother got along, but it was clear that Makoto was trying to “behave” in the way she wanted him to, i.e., manly. Aoi then appeared, being invited inside and speaking to his mom. However, Makoto ended the get-together as soon as his past was brought up. He then walked Aoi home, explaining that his dressing like a girl was a secret from his mom. The two and Ryuji were then seen spending a day at a water park together to kick off summer break.
