Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 13, released on January 5, 2025, focused on Sunraku and Rei Saiga as they fought with one of the Seven Colossi, Lycagon, and Akane Kaitsu got involved in the conflict. This also leads to Emul and her brother, Ceecrus, participating in the fight, which allows Sunraku to discover the true nature of this enemy and his biggest weakness.

Another important element in Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 13 was how Sunraku managed to use some items from Inventoria for the first time since his victory over Wezaemon as Rei Saiga was preparing a special attack.

Moreover, it was revealed in this episode that Lycagon has a very peculiar fighting style, highlighting his complex programming in the game.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 13 begins where the preview of the latest one left off as Akane Akitsu is heading to the battlefield with Emul and Ceecrus. This is where she mentions that Sunraku is probably the one she is familiar with, which suggests to the audience that she is someone who has appeared before in the series.

Meanwhile, as this is happening, Sunraku and Rei Saiga continue their fight with one of the Seven Colossi, Lycagon, with the latter still having the upper hand. The protagonist wants to keep distracting the beast so Rei can strike with her Apocalypse and Catastrophe moves to prepare her special attacks. However, the Unique Monster begins to focus on her, with both players realizing that he understands what they are planning.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 13 had both the audience and Sunraku think that Rei was done for, but she was saved by Akane, who used her Hagakushi Secret Art: Utsusemi to replace the former with a "Substitution Log", thus saving her.

This is when Emul reunites with Sunraku and explains to him that Akane is the one recognized by Siegwurm the Sky Ruler.

At this moment, Rei Saiga talks with Akane Akitsu while feeling insecure regarding the former's intentions with Sunraku, although she talks with the protagonist and mentions how they met at the Berserk Online Passion video game.

It turns out that she is the one who fought Sunraku and discovered a new bug in the game, with her viewing him as a mentor of sorts.

During the last part of Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 13, Sunraku gathers some information realizing that Lycagon is a ghost, thus explaining why he doesn't leak blood when hurt and can change positions with his shadow clone.

Therefore, he decides to use some of Emul's techniques to cause him damage and distract the Unique Monster, allowing Rei the chance to meet the conditions and prefer her main attack.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 13 is probably going to display Rei Saiga using her decisive move against Lycagon and the outcome of this clash. Moreover, there is also going to be something for Sunraku to do in this battle to keep the Unique Monster distracted, and is also very likely for Akane Akitsu to have a key role to play in this fight as well.
