Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 14, released on January 12, 2025, focused on Sunraku and Rei Saiga as they reached the conclusion of their fight with one of the Seven Colossi, Lycagon. Rei started to charge what was going to be the decisive attack in this battle, Armageddon, while Sunraku and the rest of the party held off the Unique Monster.

Another important element in Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 14 was the revelation that this wasn't the actual body of Lycagon but rather his shadow, presenting a lot of questions to the party. However, the episode ends with a cliffhanger regarding the Unique Monster and Sunraku's cursed marks on his body.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 14 begins where the preview of the latest one left off, as Rei Saiga tells Sunraku that she has a move to hurt Lycagon a great deal, but she needs to meet certain conditions. Once that happens, she needs to start the chant for her ultimate attack, Armageddon, which means that Sunraku needs to buy her some time.

The problem was that Suzaku no longer was able to keep the moonlight available in the sky, which meant that Lycagon could now use his shadow clone once again. While the protagonist was holding off the Unique Monster, Akane Akitsu made use of the Dragon Breath technique she learned from Siegwurm to negate the clone, thus keeping Rei safe.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 14 then has Sunraku using a special technique from his Gilta Brille weapon to cause some serious damage to Lycagon. The condition of this attack is that he can't use it for an entire week after, but this time it worked, leaving the creature in a weakened state for Rei Saiga to strike.

At this moment, Rei Saiga managed to finally prepare her strike and deliver it fully against Lycagon. The attack in question, Armageddon, causes a massive impact and proves to be the decisive impact for the party's victory, although the characters were not truly sure until the game informed them they won.

During the last part of Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 14, Sunraku gains some information as a shadow of Lycagon takes form in the sky and disappears, with the protagonist realizing that they were not fighting with the Unique Monster's true body all along. However, the episode ends with the appearance of a cartoon-like version of Lycagon's head and eats Sunraku, with this being portrayed as something comedic.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 14 was a big moment in the series since it featured Sunraku and his friends finally defeating Lycagon, who was a major adversary for the protagonist during most of the story.
