Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 2 will air on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 5:00 pm JST. This episode picks up where the series left off in the first season as Sunraku and his party continue on their pact to help Bilac improve his abilities to make weapons, which has also resulted in a lot of battles that may end up now with a battle against Arthur Pencilgon and Oikatzo.

It is also worth pointing out that the vast majority of this episode was very action-focused, as Sunraku's party have to fight with an army of explosive golems, giving the feeling of being another episode rather than the start of a new season. However, the encounter of the protagonist with the Professor has also given more context to the lore of the game and what Sunraku might have to search for.

Rakuro Hizutome, the "trash game hunter" known as Sunraku, returns to the series where the first season left off as he is accompanied by Bilac, Emul, and Aramis. They want to help Bilac improve her ability to make weapons, evidenced by their conversations at the start of the episode when they arrive at a place filled with abandoned elements of a bygone era.

Sunraku also has a moment for a flashback to introduce audiences to what happened in his conversation with the Professor, with the two agreeing to work together to find out more information about the history of the Shangri-La Frontier video game. However, he chose to lead the Professor to Arthur Pencilgon for more details regarding Wezaemon so he could have more free time.

The remainder of the episode was heavily focused on Sunraku and his party fighting with explosive golems, showing the characters' abilities and what they can do. It was a battle scene very similar to the ones of the first season, with the most important elements being Aramis' first display of power, Sunraku's new blade, and the aftermath featuring Arthur Pencilgon and Oikatzo as a cliffhanger.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 2 is likely to display a clash between Sunraku and his party against Arthur Pencilgon and Oikatzo, as evidenced by the cliffhanger of the latest episode. It is also very likely that they may bury the hatchet and end up joining the protagonist while telling what they were doing away from the party.
