Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 3 has been released, and the main focus was how Sunraku and his clan reunited with the other three groups. This reunion featured characters from other clans who have been somewhat prominent throughout the series, such as the Psyger-0 and Psyger-100 sisters, the Professor, and Animalia, with the latter showing up during the cliffhanger of the previous episode.

It is also worth pointing out that Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 3 represents the beginning of a new arc since this is the moment where Arthur Pencilgon proposes an alliance between these four clans. These groups have been built throughout the series and seem like a natural progression, especially considering the discussion they had involving the Unique Monsters.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 3 starts where the previous left off as Animalia and her clan are going after Sunraku and Emul. While they are trying to escape, they are held by Oikatzo and Arthur Pencilgon, with the protagonist realizing that he was sold by his friends and that they only want Emul, so he chooses to throw her at them so they can leave him alone.

After a bit of comic relief, Psyger-0 and Psyger-100 confirm that the latter and Pencilgon seem to know each other in real life. Psyger-100 wants to know more about the party defeated Wezaemon and details regarding the battle the protagonist had with Lycaon earlier in the series, which is when the Professor shows up as well and Pencilgon confirms she arranged a meeting between these clans.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 3 then switches to a bar where Sunraku where Sunraku is thinking that he needs to be careful about the information he can provide to Psyger-100 regarding the battle with Lycaon since he doesn't want to spoil anything about Rabituza. Meanwhile, Pencilgon manages to scam the Professor by selling him the Wezaemon book for an overpriced fee. Psyger-100 also reveals that Sunraku can lose Lycaon's curse and she knows how.

Sunraku decides to tell Psyger-100 about the different threats that Lycaon offers as an enemy, impressing the girl who begins to think that the protagonist is incredibly gifted when it comes to these games. Moreover, it is during this portion of the episode that the Professor reveals the lore of the five known Unique Monsters, although they are supposed to be seven.

As Psyger-100 is about to make a proposal to the Wolfgang clan, Animalia takes control of the conversation and demands Sunraku to tell her how to reach Rabituza, much to the protagonist's surprise. Since she only wants to visit the "cute bunnies," Sunraku agrees and asks Emul to help, which leads to the latter revealing that her older brother Edward is the king and not Vash. The episode ends with Emul heading to Rabituza and Pencilgon proposing an alliance.
