Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 7 was released on November 24, and its main focus continued on the game Nephilim Hollow, with Sunraku facing the strongest player, Rust. While the protagonist is defeated with a lot of ease in their first fight, he spends the remaining parts of the episode preparing a plan to beat her in their rematch.

It is also worth pointing out that Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 7 is the first one in the entire anime where the main video game is not involved and Sunraku is fully involved in another one. This is also perhaps the first time that he faces another player who is superior to him, pushing him to come up with a unique strategy that focuses on creating a Nephilim tailor-made for Rust.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 7, titled Double Wing Clash, starts Mold, Rust's assistant, telling her that Sunraku's Nephilim has been seen again, which prompts her to step back to the battlefield. She challenges the protagonist and pushes him to a battle, which is something that he agrees to do with great pleasure.

The next few minutes of the episode depict them fighting and seems that they are in a stalemate, although Rust begins to take the upper hand. Ultimately, she is the winner of the battle and Sunraku argues that he hasn't been playing Nephilim Hollow for the last three months. So they agree to a rematch, although Rust is seen exasperated and angry, much to Mold's surprise.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 7 then has Super Baldy explaining to the main character that Rust has been dominating the game and doesn't change her Nephilim until she is defeated. This is when Sunraku is excited by the idea of defeating her and realizes that his King Fischer Nephilim is not going to cut it.

There is a small segment that explains the lore of the Nephilim Hollow video game, involving how creatures known as Titans invaded the planet and destroyed most of the world. It was through that process that humans managed to take down a few of them and use technology to come up with the Nephilim, establishing how humans can pilot these entities.

The second part of Shangri-La Frontier season 2 episode 7 focuses on Super Baldy and Sunraku walking around town to find the different pieces for the new Nephilim. As Super Baldy explains how most players want Rust to lose because they are curious to see her using another Nephilim, the protagonist comes up with a plan to defeat her.

When the battle begins, Sunraku arrives with a massive Nephilim that can't fly, named Fiddler Crab which has a huge pince. During this fight, Rust realizes that he is using the Nephilim's camouflage to get an edge over her, with the episode ending through a cliffhanger of Sunraku cutting the arm of his enemy's mecha.
