The spoilers for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 14 are out and there are many elements that have given fans enough reason to be excited. The chapter is merely hours away from being released and so far, the likes of Boruto and Himawari have received the lion’s share of screentime.
While the original Naruto characters were sidelined initially, that is no longer the case. Shikamaru and Ino seem to be the topic of discussion among fans. The plot has progressed considerably and Masashi Kishimoto is clearly flexing his creative muscles with the way he is constructing plot twists at every step of the way.
As per the alleged spoilers, the main plot twist that fans can expect in the series is a potential rift between Shikamaru and Ino, who have been lifelong friends.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 14 spoilers hint at Ino’s potential betrayal
Before we get into this topic, it is important for new fans to understand that neither Shikamaru Nara nor Ino Yamanaka are the type of people to betray. However, tough situations can influence a person’s decision.
Shikamaru was forced to step up as the Hokage in Naruto’s presence and things have been rather dicey since the get-go. Meanwhile, Ino was forced to see her son quite nearly die before her eyes, if not for Himawari and Sakura’s intervention.
Tension is at an all-time high and it’s certainly testing Shikamaru and Ino’s friendship. As far as the village is concerned, everyone believes that Boruto killed Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga, all thanks to Eida’s Omnipotence. Ino is also one among many who have been influenced by the Shinjutsu technique.
However, the current interim Hokage seems to have sniffed out a few inconsistencies and is therefore, attempting to cooperate with Boruto. However, in Ino’s eyes, the protagonist is a cold-blooded murderer who managed to kill the Seventh Hokage.
Initially, Ino decided to help Shikamaru out by creating a private line to communicate with the fugitive. This is because she trusted her friend. However, the alleged spoilers indicated Ino’s refusal when Shikamaru asked for help. She insisted that the communications be reported and that she wouldn’t create a private line for him to communicate with Boruto.
She refused to help Shikamaru after seeing her son in a critical condition. She realized that helping Boruto could potentially bring the same fate. Shikamaru’s request is such that it sets Ino up to betray him.
Shikamaru was asking as a friend, and she refused to comply with his request. Ino is someone who would help her comrades out even if she had to sacrifice her life. However, she couldn’t help her friend because she was a mother to Inojin first, and a friend to Shikamaru next. Her duties and responsibilities as a mother took precedence over her duties as a friend.
Lack of communication between Shikamaru and the protagonist in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex could make things incredibly difficult for the village.
While Boruto is attempting to save the village from the Shinju, he also needs to stay on his feet to avoid getting caught off-guard by one of the Konoha shinobis. It will be interesting to see how Shikamaru, one of the best strategists, tackles this new hurdle that’s placed in front of him.
