New My Hero Academia fourth movie illustration reveals the involvement of Monoma and Shinso

My Hero Academia has introduced one of the biggest casts of characters, comparable only to One Piece. Although the series has released three movies and numerous other related media, most of them have focused primarily on the main characters, Izuku and Bakugo.

The fourth My Hero Academia movie was also expected to solely focus on Izuku, due to all the promotions featuring him and the new villain. However, recent illustrations revealed Izuku, Bakugo, Todoroki, Kirishima, Monoma, and Shinso wearing traditional Japanese clothing.

This illustration not only generated hype around the already anticipated fourth movie, but it also led fans to believe that Monoma and Shinso would be significantly involved in the plot of the movie.

Fans have also started theorizing that the studio might be trying to push Monoma and Shinso into relevancy since they will be heavily involved in the upcoming arcs of the anime.

Fan reactions to the new illustrations

The new My Hero Academia fourth movie illustrations including Shinso and Monoma became the the focal point of fan discussions, along with the different art styles of Bakugo and Izuku.

"Shinsou and Monoma gonna be involved!? Hype!," a fan wrote.

As aforementioned, fans have also started theorizing that the studio might be trying to focus on Monoma and Shinso as they will be heavily involved in the upcoming arcs of the anime.

"They’re really pushing Monoma & Shinso more in these promotional visuals. Definitely is cause of their increase of relevance in the upcoming war," one fan said.

Monoma and Shinso have been relatively irrelevant characters throughout the entire series and its different movies. Although they started gaining a bit of relevance recently in the series, fans have been genuinely surprised at their inclusion in the My Hero Academia fourth movie.

"Wait Monoma and SHINSOU are gonna be involved," another fan said.

Another fan took this opportunity to highlight how little official art of Monoma is currently present. Monoma being included in actual official art was surely a delight for all the Monoma fans.

"Monoma is like never in official stuff we won guys," a fan wrote.

Another fan simply stated how Monoma and Shinso are finally getting the attention they deserve, even though they were relegated to being side characters in the actual show.

"WE’RE FINALLY GETTING LOVE FOR SHINSOU," another fan wrote.

The My Hero Academia fourth movie is currently scheduled for release on August 2, 2024, only in Japanese theaters. Although an international release date still hasn't been revealed, it is expected to be announced soon given the popularity of the series.
