Shizune could fix Sasuke's eyes in Boruto but Kishimoto may never let her do it

The Boruto series has been progressing steadily over the past few months now that Two Blue Vortex is in publication. This particular installation of the manga series has shown plenty of promise, and the stakes have never been higher. We also saw Himawari finally getting her well-deserved opportunity to shine.

That being said, fans of the series have revisited some of the older chapters. Upon doing so, they identified certain errors that could have been fixed had Masashi Kishimoto used characters who were heavily underutilized in the plot.

The event in question is Sasuke losing his Rinnegan when Momoshiki Otsutsuki took over Boruto. Fans have reason to believe that Shizune could have fixed this using her abilities.

How Shizune could have helped Sasuke retrieve his eyes in the Boruto series

Shizune is a name that might not have appeared in the animanga series for quite some time. She was first introduced in the original Naruto series as Tsunade’s apprentice. Tsunade played a massive role in Shizune’s medical ninjutsu abilities, which was shown sparingly when the Naruto series aired.

One of the most impressive aspects of her abilities is her chakra control. Shizune was one of the few who could use the Healing Resuscitation Regeneration Technique. This technique requires extreme precision and refined chakra control, and the likelihood of saving a patient is negligible.

This technique involves the medics carefully creating new cells and attaching them with utmost precision to the affected area. The medics must understand the cell structure of the dying part and create new cells for it. This is one of the most advanced medical ninjutsu techniques in the original series. Shizune also led the team when this procedure needed to be carried out, showing just how capable she was.

Boruto stabbed Sasuke Uchiha’s Rinnegan, and this upset quite several fans. Masashi Kishimoto could have employed Shizune’s abilities to heal his eye. Fans believe that Shizune could have used the Healing Resuscitation Regeneration Technique on Sasuke.

She could have received help from Sakura Haruno, who is considered one of the most distinguished medical ninjas in the village. With their collective efforts, Shizune could have recreated the cells necessary for the Rinnegan to heal. This could have prevented Sasuke from becoming far weaker than he was in his prime.

While his Rinnegan might not have functioned in the same manner, some damage control and healing could have helped him regain some of the abilities that he lost with the eye.

This could have been a solution to Sasuke losing his eyes when Momoshiki took over Boruto. Anyone with a Rinnegan is incredibly resourceful on the battlefield, and its importance cannot be overstated. Masashi Kishimoto could have taken this route if he wanted to save Sasuke’s eye in the manga series.
