Shoshimin episode 4 is scheduled to drop on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 06:30 am JST. The episode will be broadcast domestically in Japan on networks like TV Asahi and its affiliates and simulcast on Crunchyroll for international viewers to enjoy.

The previous episode featured Yuki Osanai and Jogoro Kobato catching a glimpse of Sakagami and his intentions behind stealing Yuki's bike. Viewers are also teased with a rather unnerving side to Yuki, who might be plotting revenge on Sakagami. With the way episode 3 ended, Shoshimin episode 4 might finally explain the rationale behind "becoming ordinary".

Where to watch Shoshimin episode 4

Studio Lapin Track's Shoshimin episode 4 will be available on Crunchyroll's mega anime-streaming platform. In Japan, the episode will air on the NUMAnimation slot on 24 TV Asahi affiliates, BS Asahi, and others. Terrestrial TV will broadcast it simultaneously and exclusively in advance thanks to ABEMA.

The episode will also be simulcast on networks such as Ani-One, Aniplus TV, and Bahamut Anime Crazy for fans to enjoy.

Shoshimin episode 3 recap

Titled "Humpty Dumpty", the episode began with Yuki asking to meet Jogoro at a place with the same name as the episode title. It was a confectionary shop, leaving Jogoro worried that the former might stress eat. As it turned out, the sound of a vase smashing had distracted her during her Biology test.

Upset, she attempted to reach out to Jogoro but he had left his phone in the school lockers. Excusing himself, he went back to retrieve it and in turn looked into the smashed vase. Upon returning to Yuki, he explained that someone likely rigged it to give themselves enough to refer to a cheat note stuck to their desk.

Just then, a cafe employee dropped and shattered a cup, which Jogoro quickly pointed out was indeed attention-snatching, given the sudden and loud sound. On the walk home, Yuki spotted Sakagami and her old bike, prompting her to give chase but quickly stop as he was on the other side of the road.

She was once more summoned to the Counselor's Office - a complaint from someone who had driven their car over her bike. She and Jogoro found it on the side of the road, discarded and damaged. Yuki felt bad for the person who complained and attributed the incident to being Sakagami's fault.

Recounting from Sakagami's perspective, Jogoro deduced that the former stole Yuki's bike and used it to catch up to a bus. Said bus was from a nearby driving school that Sakagami was presumably attending to gain his motorcycle license. The pair waited there and spotted this bus, thus clarifying Jogoro's suspicions.

This is where an unsettling side of Yuki is teased, wanting to take revenge on Sakagami for stealing and damaging her bike and having her summoned to the Counselor's place. Later, Jogoro approaches Kengo to act as Yuki's bodyguard for when she might hit back at Sakagami. The episode then ends with Jogoro about to explain why he and Yuki were trying to "become ordinary".

What to expect from Shoshimin episode 4

Shoshimin episode 4 will be titled Fox and Wolf Heart. As indicated by the climax of the previous episode, Kobato hires Dojima as the bodyguard of Osanai who is plotting revenge against the person who stole her bike. As expected, knowing nothing about the situation, Dojima cannot accept the job blindly.

So, Dojima explains the series of events that led to Osanai's bike getting stolen. The bike was also left in the middle of the road which might also be a big clue to the current situation. However, will Kobato be willing to bodyguard Osanai from a group of unknown people who stole her bike on a whim?
