Shoshimin episode 4 recap
Titled Mind of a Lone Wolf, the episode began with Jogoro conveying his suspicions to Kengo. The pair questioned what secondary use Sakagami would need his driver's license for. There were 2 main reasons for applying for a license: first, to be legally entitled to drive, and second, for identification purposes.
But Jogoro had his reservations and narrowed it down to 3 questions— Despite living in the Southwest, why Sakagami chose the Kira North Driving School, though he might not be of age, why was he attempting to gain his driver's license, and finally, what compelled Sakagami to "steal" Yuki's bike and catch the bus he had presumably missed.
Through deduction and some quick calculation, Jogoro concluded that even Kengo was 92% suspicious of Sakagami. Further, Jogoro suspected that Sakagami was involved in forgery, i.e., using someone else's (who was 18) details to gain a complete license. This was plausible since all he needed was a seal of a certificate of residence, a health card, and any other public document.
Referring back to the break-in at a student's apartment, the victim was someone named Iokibe, aged 18, living in the same town as Sakagami, and Yuki's stolen bike was found at the break-in site. As Jogoro phrased it, Sakagami was involved with a group trying to commit fraud and he had clashed with Yuki. The same Yuki, who was "the embodiment of shyness" for Kengo, would "rip out Sakagami's windpipe with her teeth", as per Jogoro.
This is where we finally get a glimpse of the old Osanai, as Jogoro describes her. If he was a fox, she would be a wolf who found joy in hurting those who had harmed her. Jogoro was concerned that she was attempting to meddle with a troublesome group that might hurt her if she got too close. Just then, through a phone call to his sister, Kengo confirms that Sakagami was indeed 15 years of age and Yuki had gotten to him before them.
Just then, Jogoro and Kengo rushed to the Kira North Driving School as the former received an unsent message from Yuki. Upon reaching, Yuki confirmed that Sakagami was enrolled at the school under Iokibe's name. The next day, Jogoro received news that five high school students were arrested for fraud.
Further, he filled in Yuki on the situation. The episode ended with both Yuki and Jogoro agreeing that they wouldn't give up on trying to be ordinary.
