Studio Lapin Track's Shoshimin episode 7 will be available on Crunchyroll's mega anime-streaming platform. In Japan, the episode will air on the NUMAnimation slot on 24 TV Asahi affiliates, BS Asahi, and others. Terrestrial TV will broadcast it simultaneously and exclusively in advance thanks to ABEMA.

Shoshimin episode 6 recap

Titled But I Get To Keep Charlotte, the episode began with Jogoro walking through a festival before being stopped by a traditionally dressed Yuki. The pair enjoyed the festival as "ordinary" folk would, taking in the sights and buying cotton candy.

The scene then transitioned to the next day, with Yuki at Jogoro's door. She showed and then handed him a map marked with all the confectionary stores she wanted to visit during the summer. Next, the scene changed once more to Jogoro sweating profusely as he cycled.

Just then, he received a text message from Yuki - she had sent him a list of sweets she wanted from a certain store as she couldn't leave her place due to an emergency. Jogoro did as he was asked and took the sweets to Yuki's place. Just as she was about to dig in, she received a phone call, to answer which she disappeared into her room, leaving Jogoro alone at the table.

Waiting long enough, Jogoro took a bite of the Charlotte pastry and was on Cloud 9. He finished it in a matter of seconds and loving how good it tasted, began to work out how to make it seem like there were only ever 2 Charlotte pastries. He needed to quickly devise a way to make it seem impossible to count the amount of Charlotte pastries from the cup holders given.

With everything set and his second Charlotte consumed, Jogoro acted completely normal as Yuki returned and began eating. The latter had accounted for each piece of evidence but not the napkins that came with the 3 Charlottes. Visibly nervous, he tried to steer their conversation on why the dessert was named so. They spoke a little before Yuki revealed that she had caught on.

She wondered why Jogoro would try to deceive her and now, in return, he would accompany her to all the shops she marked, right up to her number 1. As Jogoro was leaving, Yuki revealed how she deduced the number of Charlotte pastries - the boy had used a handkerchief to wipe his face when he walked in but later used a tissue to do so, which meant that the handkerchief was unusable and the Charlotte's Bavarian cream was the only thing that could have soiled it.

What to expect from Shoshimin episode 7? (speculative)

Shoshimin episode 7 will feature the second episode of its next arc which was kicked off with episode 6. This arc is called the "Kaki Gentei Tropical Parfait Jiken" ("Case of the Summer-Exclusive Tropical Parfait") Arc. Prior to episode 6, the studio released promotional visuals for the same.

Moving forward, Shoshimin episode 7 will likely showcase more of Yuki's deep love for sweets. Already established from the first episode, she now plans to visit several confectioneries and this arc should depict just that. Moreover, there will be more light shed on the Jogoro-Yuki dynamic and their aim to "become ordinary", possibly with the introduction of new faces too.
