A Naruto remake has been heavily discussed within the fandom, and the constant news of the One Piece remake by Wit Studio has only added to the debate. Many fans think a new anime adaptation of author Masashi Kishimoto's manga would be a great way to get younger generations into the series and keep the original story alive for years.

There are also others who that a Naruto remake could iron out some of the issues the original anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot had to endure. Much like the One Piece remake could fix the pacing issues the Toei Animation adaptation has had, this potential project could remove the almost infamous filler and also provide animation of higher quality to some of the series' most iconic moments.

Explaining the need for a Naruto remake

There's a strong argument to be made that a Naruto remake could be beneficial for both the people in charge of the property and the franchise as a whole.

While Boruto has its fans, it's fair to say that this sequel has never been fully embraced by the anime community and has had a considerable amount of detractors. So a remake of the original story would be a practical and effective way to get people's attention.

Furthermore, the original anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot, while still having some stellar animation moments, often suffers from the incredible amount of filler it has.

It's an understandable byproduct of the 2000s, as anime episodes were done all year round and not in a seasonal manner, which means having this approach with this series could provide an improved pacing to the story.

The One Piece remake is showing the potential of taking an established property and revamping its animation and pacing for younger audiences who want a different product in the anime medium. It isn't really about the storytelling or the plot points but rather the way an anime is made, like the animation, movement, soundtrack, pacing and other elements.

It would also allow the studio in charge to provide a much more consistent product, given the fact that the original manga has now concluded. Therefore, the people making the adaptation would be able to capitalize on having the entirety of the source material to work with, which is a benefit even the One Piece remake has at the moment.

Other factors for the Naruto remake to consider

Another reason to make a Naruto remake could be based on what happened recently with the final arc of another major Studio Pierrot property, Bleach.

The studio is adapting the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, and author Tite Kubo is contributing to fixing some of the problems the storyline had in the manga because of his health issues at the time.

Masashi Kishimoto is widely regarded as one of the most influential and successful mangaka of all time, but most fans agree that the final arc in the series was disappointing, to say the least.

A Naruto remake could iron out some of the problems arc and others had, giving fans the chance to enjoy an improved version of the classic story most anime fans love.

Naturally, the possibility of making a Naruto remake also means adapting some of the best moments of the story with the highest quality when it comes to animation, which is very likely to happen with the One Piece remake as well.

Moments like Rock Lee vs. Gaara or even the first arrival of Itachi to Konoha could be improved upon with top-notch animation, and these are just two examples among many.

Final thoughts

A Naruto remake is yet to be announced but could be a great choice for the franchise. If a One Piece remake can take place without the original manga or anime not being completed, this series could also benefit from that experience.
