Studio Pierrot made Sakura's relationship with Sasuke a joke in Boruto

There are plenty of things that the Boruto series got wrong during its formative years. The sequel series disappointed the fanbase, and it became the laughingstock of the anime community. On one hand, there was Naruto, who went from being an embarrassment to the Hokage. On the other hand, his son was a talented yet bratty child who didn’t listen to his father.

In this case, however, fans revisited the series and found another element in the anime that gained a ton of traction. In one of the earlier episodes, we could see an intricate frame containing pictures of people close to Sakura.

In that frame, we could see pictures of herself, Sarada Uchiha, and Sasuke Uchiha. While fans adored it initially, there was one detail in particular that netizens found hilarious and it has to do with the pictures arranged in the frame.

A family photo is quite common since people like to document and preserve good memories. It is also a part of many cultures from across the world. Therefore, it wasn’t odd to see this tradition used in the Boruto series.

Most family pictures contain a single photograph in which all the family members stand or assemble together in the same frame. However, that wasn’t the case with the Uchiha family photo in the sequel series.

Instead, it was a collage of individual pictures. Fans knew that Sasuke was working from the shadows and constantly away from his family. However, they found it hilarious that the couple didn’t get enough time to click a group photograph all these years. Collages are by no means weird, and therefore, the majority of netizens understood Sakura’s plight and sympathized with her.

However, the jokes about the collage didn’t end there, and it was due to Studio Pierrot’s choice of the photograph that depicted Sasuke. Sakura had a total of four photographs in the collage. Two of them were of Sarada, one of them was of Sakura, and the remaining photograph was of Sasuke’s. Netizens were amused by Studio Pierrot's decision to show Sasuke in his Akatsuki cloak in the family photograph.

Boruto fans found it hilarious that Studio Pierrot decided to put a photograph of Sasuke when he was considered a fugitive for his acts of terrorism. He went on a killing spree and joined one of the most dangerous organizations ever to exist. The organization was Akatsuki, and Sasuke sported their uniform in the family photograph.

Given that it was just a few frames, Studio Pierrot could have chosen any other picture of Sasuke’s. Instead, they decided to use the picture taken at a time when Konohagakure declared him an enemy of the state. This oversight from Studio Pierrot had the fanbase laughing over the group photograph.
