Suicide Squad Isekai episode 9 recap
Suicide Squad Isekai episode 9 began with Cecil being ambushed by one of the fake Queen Aldora’s advisors, now wearing The Thinker’s cap. The focus then shifted to Fione and the fake Aldora, where it was confirmed the real Aldora was killed. The imposter, called the Undead King, revealed that he orchestrated the war to replenish his powers. As he was about to kill Fione, Cecil appeared and escorted Fione back to her room, where they prepared for a fight.
This led to Fione realizing how pathetic she had been, donning makeup in Harley’s style and knocking out the advisor from earlier. The King then summoned the undead onto the townsfolk, prompting Fione to tell them to come to the castle for safety. The King put a stop to this by bringing the castle down, which led to a fight between King Shark and Killer Croc. As all hope seemed lost, Harley and the titular group arrived, getting the King’s attention.
The group then split into two teams, one that would rescue Fione and the other that would fight the undead. The King then summoned Enchantress, who begrudgingly fought for her, while Fione ordered Cecil to assist Harley and co. Peacemaker then went to help King Shark with Killer Croc, while Katana fought Clayface and Rick Flag. Just as Katana was about to win, she confusingly abandoned the fight.
Harley and Deadshot were the ones fighting Enchantress but were unable to gain the upper hand when they were saved by Artie the dragon. Harley then had the idea of affixing a magic gem to her pistol, which then let her hit Enchantress. Cecil then assisted Deadshot as Harley all but beat Enchantress, asking what her goal was. The episode ended with someone who looked like Enchantress being held captive by the King, as Katana sinisterly smiled at this discovery.
What to expect from Suicide Squad Isekai episode 10 (speculative)
As the series’ final, big fight ramps up, Suicide Squad Isekai episode 10 will likely open up with a focus on Fione as she’s confronted by the Undead King. This will likely reveal exactly what the King’s ultimate plans are, which will likely resonate with or foil Fione's origins and characterization in some way.
The tenth episode will also likely focus heavily on Enchantress and Harley, as well as Katana, the three of whom seem set to be central to this final fight. Fans can also expect to get some sort of indication as to whether or not there’ll be a second season based on how the first concludes at the tenth installment’s end.
