With the release of Suicide Squad Isekai episode 5, the anime saw Harley Quinn and co get their bomb timer reset. However, that was not the end of their problems as the supervillains were soon forced to go on a mission to acquire more ammunition. Surprisingly, the mission wasn't as easy as they thought as they were forced to face a dragon.
The previous anime episode saw Harley Quinn and co earn a major victory against Ratcatcher and the Empire. With that, they won the trust of the Kingdom. But evidently, Queen Aldora did not wish for them to win and seemingly had another hidden motive.
Suicide Squad Isekai episode 5: Harley adopts a baby dragon
Suicide Squad Isekai episode 5 opened with Harley and co reaching the gate that would allow them to reset their bomb timers. With the timer ticking down to the final second, Peacemaker suggested that they wait and find out if the signal for the reset is sent from the other end. Fortunately, the signal was sent on time, resetting the timers.
Following that harrowing moment, the group decided to complete their mission to establish and protect bridgeheads that are meant to serve as the framework for resource acquisition. For this mission, their top priority was establishing a good relationship with the Kingdom by helping them defeat the Empire.
Right after, Suicide Squad Isekai episode 5 saw Harley and co help the Kingdom in their war against the Empire. Unfortunately, the supervillains were running out of ammunition. While Clayface and King Shark could fight using their powers, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, and Rick Flag equipped guns as weapons.
Hence, acquiring ammunition first was a must. Fortunately, Rick Flag remembered that his previous helicopter wasn't damaged, meaning it would still have a lot of ammunition. However, the helicopter was in the west, so they needed to make a stop at the fort during their journey. Following a dinner party at the fort, Harley equipped a frying pan as a weapon.
The next day, Harley and co reached the helicopter's location, but it was being used as a nest by a dragon. Given their need for ammunition, Harley and co faced the dragon head-on. While they were having a tough time at the start, Harley thought up a way to use the frying pan against the dragon. This move created an opening for the group as she acquired a bazooka for Deadshot.
After Peacemaker distracted the dragon and Clayface made it trip, Deadshot used the bazooka and defeated the dragon. With that, the group acquired the ammunition they needed. This is when Peacemaker revealed that he used the dragon's egg to distract it. Harley thought it was very cruel and took the egg away from Peacemaker.
Surprisingly, the egg hatched the very next moment and the baby dragon started considering Harley his mother. Right after, Harley named the baby dragon "Arthur." As for Rick Flag, he contacted A.R.G.U.S. head Amanda Waller and updated her on all the latest developments. Later, when the group was headed back to the fort, they found it seemingly destroyed by the two new antagonists — Thinker and Enchantress.
