Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online season 1 began with a focus on Karen Kohiruimaki’s character for the titular game LLENN. It was eventually revealed that Karen was a university student insecure about her height. Thus, she played GGO since her avatar, LLENN, was a small, cute girl, in her opinion.
She dyed her clothes pink, eventually becoming known as the pink devil and meeting fellow player Pitohui. Pito told LLENN about a team-based version of Bullet of Bullets called Squad Jam. Pito was busy that day, so she enlisted her friend M to partner with LLENN, resulting in them winning the tournament.
Goushi Agoshi, the person behind M meeting Karen in real life, prefaced the second Squad Jam. He explained that the player behind Pito was planning to turn the second Squad Jam into her own game of life and death after missing out on the SAO incident. This persuaded LLENN to enter the tournament alongside Fukaziro, the avatar of Karen’s IRL friend Miyu Shinohara.
