With the construction of the arena almost finished, thanks to the combined efforts of the high executives of Jura Tempest and the refugees, Rimuru Tempest asks Ramiris to focus on the Dungeon. The slime wants the dungeon to have 100 floors and shares a secret with her about why he wants it done.

After telling Ramiris to prepare a 100-floor dungeon, the Demon Lord goes to Kurobe, a blacksmith who has expertise in creating rare weapons and armor. Rimuru asks some of the rare ones to use them as chest items for the adventurers in the dungeon.

Besides assuring Rimuru that he will get the items he wants, Kurobe hands him over a forged blade, which will grow into a legendary sword in the future. The following day, Rimuru appears at the construction site with Veldora.

A flashback scene reveals that Rimuru requested Veldora to become the dungeon's overlord and reign over the final floor (the 100th floor). He also assures him that he will build his own den there. Rimuru knows that Veldora's dense magicules can give birth to strong monsters, which will be essential for the dungeon. The closer the floors are to the Storm Dragon, the stronger the spawns will be.
