The episode begins with Momiji attending Rimuru Tempest's audience ceremony along with the other Tengus. It is revealed that Tengus is a pack spawned from angels incarnated into the bodies of wolves.

Shortly after that, the episode delves into a flashback, showing how Benimaru and Albis went to the secret village of the Tengus in the Kusha mountains to earn their permission for the highway's construction.

Although Momiji refused to cooperate after hearing that Rimuru intended to dig a hole through the Kusha mountains, Kaede, the Tengu's elder, accepted under one condition: Benimaru had to marry her daughter, Momiji.

During Benimaru and Kaede's conversation, it was also revealed that Kaede and Hakuro were in a relationship in the past. In any case, Benimaru couldn't outrightly answer the Tengu's leader's request but promised to let her know later.

Back to the present, Rimuru welcomes Momiji. The Tengu's representative greets the new Demon Lord and says the Tengus recognize him as the ruler of the Jura Forest. However, the slime notices Momiji's pensiveness.

She reveals that she's worried that Demon Lord Frey, with whom Rimuru has an association, may try to use the Tengus as her subordinate against Thalion. However, the slime assures that Frey likely has no interest in either Thalion or Tengu, given she's content with Jura Tempest's new plans.

Shuna then reveals a message from Albis to the ogre: she intends to defeat Momiji in a battle to win the right to be Benimaru's husband. Gabiru adds that her sisters have been infatuated with the ogre.

Benimaru says he only intends to have one spouse. Momiji delightfully takes up Albis' challenge to become the ogre's wife. The episode ends with Shuna and Shion proposing a match against each other to win Rimuru's heart.
