The episode begins with Dwargon's king, Gazel, assuring Rimuru that he can give him 1500 gold coins for his nation's trade crisis. Rimuru thinks it's still not enough. At that moment, Elmesia El ru Sarion from the Sorcerous Dynasty of Sarion arrives at the room.

She promises to make up the differences, but in exchange, she wants the slime to invite her to every festival the town organizes in the future. Rimuru accepts Elmesia's offer, and she gives the Demon Lord roughly a thousand gold coins.

Meanwhile, the elven emperor notices Diablo and asks Rimuru what he plans to do should the primal demon run amok. Rimuru understands Elmesia's distress, so he assures her that he will personally stop Diablo, should it ever come to that.

Pleased by Rimuru's words and resolve, she officially acknowledges the friendly relationship with Jura Temepst and tells Elrad to handle the paperwork. She also requests the slime to let meet Yoshida once, to which Rimuru agrees.

The next day, the Battle Tournament's finale kicks off. Masayuki feels he won't be able to defeat Gobta, so he rests his hope on his passive skill. Gobta charges at Masayuki but seeing the hero not moving an inch, he backs off. The goblin then uses his ultimate skill to fuse with Ranga.

Gobta charges at Masayuki a second time but crashes against the wall. The lightspeed hero feels he will be declared the winner if he doesn't do something. He refuses to battle against Rimuru.

As such, he forfeits from the tournament. Masayuki's decision confuses the crowd at first, but due to his unique skill, they feel the hero perhaps gave Rimuru a reprieve by opting out of the battle.

Meanwhile, Rimuru learns about Masayuki's skills from the Great Sage. He thinks it would be better to befriend such a person. As such, he asks Soei to invite Masayuki for lunch. As for Gobta, Milim takes him and Ranga to train them personally.
