A brief recap of The Blue Wolves of Mibu episode 2

Nio joined Miburo and he was introduced to the organization’s members. However, he was taken by surprise since other members didn’t have the temperament that Soji and Hijikata had. Other members loved to battle and spent most of their time in combat. Nio was forced to wrestle another member, who too was a child like him. It ended with a tie, and Kondo appeared out of nowhere. His hunger for wrestling can never be satisfied. Furthermore, he defeated everyone who challenged him.

Nio, Hijikata and Soji were informed about a message that was displayed along with a severed head. They infiltrated the inn where the perpetrators resided. Hijikata and Soji killed the ones who committed the crime, leaving Nio wondering about the true meaning of justice.

Following this, Nio was asked to join Hijikata and Kondo while they were on patrol. They spotted a runner and Nio was instructed to cover the exit. However, there was a crying child who he tended to help. He disobeyed direct orders to help the child. The target they were chasing nearly got away. However, Hijikata managed to neutralize the threat. Both Hijikata and Kondo appreciated Nio for his sense of justice and for saving the young girl. The episode ended with one of the Miburo members killing the young teen who was forced to wrestle with Nio earlier on.

What to expect in The Blue Wolves of Mibu episode 3?

The latest episode ended with Serizawa killing another Miburo member. The upcoming episode will most likely focus on the internal purging that was taking place while Hijikata and Kondo were on patrol. The betrayal that is currently taking place will surely be investigated. Nio’s observational skills will be put to the test as he might help his fellow comrades identify the killer.
