A brief recap of The Blue Wolves of Mibu episode 4

The episode focused on Hajime, who was the second recruit of the Miburo. He was a fierce swordsman who managed to knock Nio out during a sparring session. His technique allowed him to land one hit on Nio, which led to the latter getting knocked out. These two were asked to go out on patrol as per Hijikata’s orders. He had asked them to stay in place and wait for his return. In the meantime, however, the duo heard the cries of a young girl.

It was a complicated situation since the one tugging onto her hair was her own father. He is slowly losing his mind because he lost his wife and he no longer had money. He blamed the Shogunate and he was making a scene in public.

Nio and Hajime intervened which led to the distressed man running away from them. The duo caught up to them and saved the girl. Hajime disarmed the man holding the Katana. Following this, Nio consoled him and told him that there were people who depended on him. The father reunited with his daughter and the Miburo returned to their base.
