A brief recap of The Blue Wolves of Mibu episode 8

The episode began with Serizawa being ambushed by one of the assassins. He was in an inebriated state. However, that didn’t slow him down as he made a quick work of his opponent. Meanwhile, Hajime took down the shinobi with ease, and the remaining members of Miburo nabbed the last assassin. He was a coward who challenged Nio. The latter was resolved to win, and that alone was enough for his opponent to submit.

Following this, the men regrouped at Aizu’s castle and revelry ensued shortly. Meanwhile, Nio takes some time to show respect to the fallen men. He encountered one of Aizu’s men, who thanked him for showing compassion and strength. Nio was happy to see that his actions had a positive effect on society. His understanding of justice seemed to have gotten a tad bit clearer that day. Following this, Todo attempted to pursue a girl romantically. However, his efforts were in vain since she was in love with someone else.

The second half of the episode took a slice-of-life approach in its storytelling. Members of the Miburo pulled Todo’s leg for constantly failing in this department. Nio was the only to show any sort of confidence in him.
