On Saturday, January 4, 2025, the official website and X account for The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows anime unveiled the second promotional video and a new visual. The short clip also revealed the additional cast members for the series. The anime is set to premiere in April 2025, with no specified date revealed as of this writing.

Under the production of Makaria, The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows anime is an adaptation of Sakaku Hishikawa (author) and Daburyu's (illustrator) eponymous fantasy light novel series. SB Creative has been serializing the novels since October 2021. The novels also have a manga adaptation with Ten Junoichi's art.

As stated earlier, the official staff streamed the second trailer for The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows anime on Saturday, January 4, 2025, ahead of the show's premiere in April 2025.

The short clip shows Zenos as the dark healer treating his peculiar patients at the new clinic he has opened in a slum. Besides that, the short clip features some intense action scenes, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from the series.

As mentioned, the short clip reveals the new cast members for the fantasy anime. According to the official staff, Anna Nagase has joined the anime as Zophia, the Lizardmen's leader. Lizardmen are one of the three major demi-human actions controlling the slums.

Additionally, Mashiro Hitaka has joined the voice cast as Lynga, the Werewolves' leader. Like the Lizardmen, Werewolves is also a faction that controls the slums. The other cast member is Sayaka Kikuchi as Loewe, the Orcs' leader, who has a huge control over the slums.

The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows anime stars Shogo Sakata as Zenos, Miharu Hanai as Lily, and Yoko Hikasa as Carmilla. More cast members will be announced sooner rather than later.

Besides the second promotional video and the additional cast members, the official staff has unveiled a new key visual for The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows anime. The illustration features Zenos, Lily, Carmilla, the newly announced cast members, and other important characters.

Additionally, it has been announced that The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows anime will get an advance screening at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo, Japan, on March 2, 2025. The primary cast members, i.e., Shogo Sakata (VA of Zenos), Miharu Hanai (VA of Lily), and Yoko Hikasa (VA of Carmilla) will attend the stage.

Joe Yoshizaki directs the series at Makaria studios, with Taika Miyagi in charge of the scripts. Yoshihiro Sawada and Denpuougi are credited as the character designers. Harumi Fuuki is the music composer, while Hiroshi Goroku is the art director. Kohei Tanada has joined the staff as the director of photography, while Hiroto Morishita is credited as the sound director.

Based on Sakaku Hishikawa's fantasy light novel series, the anime follows the story of Zenos, an unlicensed genius healer, whom his adventurer party abandons. Refused to be bogged down, Zenos opens a clinic in a slum. As the words about his genius spread across the town, Zenos' life as a dark healer changes for good.
