The Demon Prince of Momochi House episode 2 began with Himari Momochi waking up to find Aoi Nanamori in her bed with her. She then walked around the house, where Yukari Mizuchi and Ise Shojo revealed they had cleaned the house since Himari would be staying for now.
The two conceded she was the owner, prompting her to ask for rent as Aoi appeared. He revealed he had no money and that they had no living expenses thanks to the yokai present.
However, Ise made a joke that Himari didn’t like, prompting her to tell him to get out and the house to forcibly remove him. Aoi and Yukari agreed this was likely due to her owning the house.
She then overheard Aoi forcing himself to cast a barrier inside the house for her sake, walking into the ritual shortly after that. He assured her that he was okay, but it was clear he wasn’t. Himari then asked him to tell her the truth about the house and what they were doing there.
Aoi then explained he accidentally broke the house’s seal years ago, forcing him to become its master to provide balance to the world border it sits on. This also suggested that Himari was meant to be Omamori as the rightful owner.
A sakura tree yokai then targeted Himari, with Aoi saving her from it as Nue. The episode ends by revealing that Aoi can’t leave the house’s grounds, and Himari promises to find a way to free him from the house.
What to expect (speculative)?

This will also likely entail getting to know her “roommates” better, with the coming episode likely seeing her spend one-on-one time with each of them throughout.
